Arriving
Agrigento Centrale. Regional trains from Palermo take about two hours; the station sits under the old town, with the Valley of the Temples a short bus or taxi ride below.

Urban single €1.10: one urban journey.
Passes: Day ticket €3.30.
Lines 1, 2 and 3 run from Piazzale Rosselli and the station area down to the Valley of the Temples entrances.

The day ticket covers the out and back to the temples plus a museum hop for less than two singles each way.
On foot
- ·The Valley itself is a 2 to 3 km open air walk between temples with little shade; go early or late in summer
- ·The old town's stepped lanes up to the cathedral are a separate, hillier walk from the valley below
Taxis and driving
- ·Ranks at the station; agree the fare for the temple run before setting off
- ·The temple car parks at both entrances fill by mid morning in season; the bus from town is the calmer option
