Arriving
none nearby. No railway on the island. The nearest station is Cervignano-Aquileia-Grado on the Venice to Trieste line, then a TPL FVG bus across the lagoon causeway (about 30 minutes, via Aquileia).

Grado's old town and beaches are walked; the bus matters for arriving and for the Aquileia ruins on the way

Pair Grado with Aquileia: the same bus line serves both, and the basilica's mosaics are the region's headline sight.
On foot
