Arriving
none nearby. No railway on the upper east shore. Arrive via Peschiera del Garda station and ATV bus up the Gardesana road, or by ferry; from the north, Rovereto station and a bus over the Trentino border.

Malcesine itself is a pedestrian tangle of lanes under the castle; buses and boats exist to reach it, not to cross it

Check the ATV lake fare table for the long Peschiera hop; the ferry is slower but turns the transfer into sightseeing.
On foot
