Rimini. On the Bologna to Ancona line with frequent regional and some high speed stops; the old town is a 10 minute walk one way, the beach district about 15 minutes the other.

The Metromare rapid busway links Rimini station to Riccione along the beach strip; the ordinary urban ticket covers the Rimini stretch.

Staying near your hotel beach you may need no transit at all; the Smart Pass earns its keep if you hop the riviera or ride the Metromare daily.
On foot
- ·The Roman and Renaissance centre (Arco d'Augusto, Ponte di Tiberio, Piazza Cavour) is compact and flat, easily covered on foot
- ·The beach district is a separate grid across the railway; allow 20 to 25 minutes on foot between the old town and the sea, or use a bus
