none (nearest rail is Poggibonsi). No train station: arrive via Poggibonsi (on the Florence to Siena line), then the Autolinee Toscane 130 bus climbs to town in about 25 minutes, roughly hourly or better in the morning.

No transit inside the walls and none needed: the whole town is a 15 minute walk end to end. Buses from Florence and Siena mostly change at Poggibonsi; buy bus tickets at a tabaccheria or the at bus app before boarding
On foot
- ·Steep in places and paved in stone, with the best views from the Rocca a short climb above the main square
- ·Evening and early morning belong to overnighters: day-trip crowds pack the lanes from late morning to sunset
Taxis and driving
- ·No taxi rank; the few local drivers are pre-booked by phone, so do not count on a spontaneous cab back to Poggibonsi at night
- ·The walls are a strict ZTL: use the paid lots outside the gates (P1 Giubileo is the biggest and cheapest, capped per day) and walk in through Porta San Giovanni
