Comparing destinations side by side

Line up two to six cities and compare vibes, costs, best months, and travel time at a glance.

Comparing within a trip

Compare lives inside your trip: open it from the trip's tool grid. It starts from the cities you've shortlisted and you can search to add up to six candidates, comparing is exploratory, so adding a city to the comparison never adds it to the trip itself.

What gets compared

The comparison grid lines up each city's trip-fit score, recommended nights, region, best months, walking difficulty, crowd pressure, cost level, route usefulness, what it's best for, and what to watch out for. Below the grid, a travel-effort view shows how hard the journey is between the cities you're weighing. Cities our team hasn't finished rating yet show 'Not rated' rather than a guess.

Tips for comparing

Try comparing cities in the same region (e.g., Rome vs Florence vs Siena) or cities with similar vibes but a different pace (e.g., Venice vs Bologna vs Verona). Use the When to Go tool afterwards to find the best shared month.
