What a trip window is
A trip window covers one trip's full day-by-day itinerary build. Trip Pass includes one trip window, Italy Year includes 3.
What spends one
Three things: building your full day-by-day itinerary, rebuilding the whole trip later, and starting an 'I'm already in Italy' trip (its window is taken when the trip is created). You always see a confirmation before a window is spent.
What never spends one
Adjusting a single day (that's a credit), locking and reordering days, and every planning tool, When to Go, Compare, Build my route, Trip check, Ticket timing. If a build finishes with a city missing, filling in the rest is free; if a whole build fails outright, the window is refunded automatically.
Windows and open trips
Your total trip windows also set how many trips you can keep open at once. Archiving a trip from your Trips page frees a slot for a new one, while a spent window stays spent.

Italy Year travellers can add an extra window at any time for €19 from the Account page. For Italy Year travellers who need more than the included trip windows.
