Lucca (just outside the walls). A 5 minute walk from the station gate through the walls into the centre; direct regionals from Florence take about 80 minutes and from Pisa 30.
Urban ticket €2.00: 90 minutes on city buses (2.00 from 1 August 2026; 1.70 before).
