Verona Porta Nuova. A 20 minute flat walk down Corso Porta Nuova to the Arena, or any bus from the forecourt; high-speed trains put Venice, Milan and Bologna all around an hour away.

On foot
- ·Arena to Juliet's balcony to the Duomo is one continuous 20 minute stroll; the river loop around the old town is the city's best free attraction
- ·Climb (or ride the funicular) to Castel San Pietro for the sunset view over the rooftops and the Adige bend

- ·The old town inside the river bend is ZTL; park at the edge (Arena or Cittadella garages) and walk, nothing inside is more than 15 minutes away
